had to share this - a must read - not my words but words to share

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:


We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize...... that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement: Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem." I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World".

We'll practice trickledown economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll let you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

the welfare system & our children

     i think the food stamps should be regulated - if you are going to get free food - there should be a six month limit unless you get a waiver for special circumstances. also, if you get free food, you should have to cook it. there should only be fresh vegetables, staple items (ie flour, sugar, cornmeal, etc.) and inexpensive cuts of meat,  you should have to work for it somehow - and at least cooking it applies somewhat. if you want boneless chicken buy a fryer and cut it up.
      i cook all my food from scratch whenever possible, this means home made stews, roasts, chicken and dumplings, meat and potatoes, my cakes and pies and puddings are also from scratch - it is a lost art in the time of the microwave.
     in this economy i don't always have that luxury since i'm working one full time job and one part time job and my husband has been laid off since january with no job opening in sight, apparently i make $100 per month too much to qualify for food stamps or medicaid so i have no medical insurance, and that is not likely to change unless my husband finds a job.
     our pregnant daughter lives with us as her boyfriend has a part time minimun wage job and gives no financial assistance at this time though he wants to, he simply doesn't have it. my house should technically be condemed since i have large holes in the kitchen floor that are patched with plywood (buyer beware - new floor doesn't mean it's not covering up the old rotten one)
      there are no assistance programs out there for me, since i'm a middle/lower income family, paying taxes for all the free-loaders who get everything for free. my daughter had friends in high school who's occupational goal was to get pregnant and get into the system. that this is an option is an outrage. the fact that i stand in line and see these people eating WAY better than i can afford to, and go outside and get into a $50,000 new ford excursion is a slap in the face to people like me.
     when my mother was diagnosed with cancer and given 6 months to live, she applied for her retirement from the government, she got $278.00 per month and did not qualify for food stamps,(my husband had back surgury during the same time period) i worked a full time 50 hour per week job and two part time jobs, and maxed out 5 credit cards to support both households.
      i think if the "welfare system" can't assist someone in my situation (i was told to put a second mortgage on my house) then the welfare system should be completly abolished. i also think we should take it one step further and have out children "fixed" when they hit puberty (supplied by the government and wont that piss alot of people off) this would completely eliminate unwanted pregnancy, abortion, pregnancy from rape or incest and the majority of families living on the current welfare system. if you dont fix your kids you pay a fine to have the privilege of doing so.
     we are asked to be responsible for our pets but not our children, how messed up is that. when your child is economically self sufficient and chooses to be a parent - they can take a class and get "un-fixed" as this is a completely reversible procedure for both the male and female.
     when we stop supporting the free-loaders we can begin to fix our economy - we should stop worrying how bad other people have it and help our own. even as bad as i have it, there are still people out there who have it worse with no home at all and eating out of trash cans - if you are not a legal american get the hell out and let us help our own, we cant afford you or your children, if you arent legal you cant work and we are supporting you and all your children at a good $500 each per month. this is bullshit.!!!!!
     the companies that are out-sourcing our customer service should be charged a fine for doing so. if they train and employ current welfare families they should get a tax break sufficient to the amount of training and equipment necessary to releive our system of one family on welfare.
   thats about all i can think of today - wait for the next installment

daily rant for 08/20/10

todays political rant.....i personally feel that the mosque should be built if thats what the muslims in new york want...however it should be built in another location - i feel that a religious symbol of that magnitude in the location of death to 3000 americans is completely disrespectful to the people who died or got sick during the cleanup or lost loved ones ....these are people who are still dealing with the tragedy on a daily basis and this can't be given back or be made to just go away. if the muslim people want to re-build the mosque that was in that location thats fine they lost out as well.....but to put up this 13 story monstrosity is beyond a lack of sensitivity and if they were in this country as the loyal americans they are purporting to be they would understand this and act accordingly ... this is comparable to lawyers giving your mothers house to the murderer who shot her reguardles of your feelings about it.
